Supporting Young Black And Minority Ethnic Youth In Cambridgeshire

Enriching and empowering young people via education, mentoring and social-cultural activities

Saturday School

Running for 12 weeks per year, this program is currently in its 3rd year. Students spend Saturday mornings learning at their own pace, with the aid of volunteers from the University of Cambridge.

Social-cultural activities

We arrange a series of cultural activities in Cambridge and further afield. These activities enable our children and young people to learn more about where they live, their culture and the wealth of opportunities afforded to them.

Mentoring

Our programs are curated for two different age groups, so every lesson offers the appropriate level of engagement for your little ones.

Grow their confidence through Saturday School

We are now in our third year of our popular Saturday School. The scheme was one of the main reasons CB Mentoring was created, as many of the founding members had fond memories of the role Saturday School played in their own educational and cultural educations as teens. The programme allows students to be paired up with University of Cambridge students who act as tutors whilst our young people conduct their homework.

Spark their curiosity with social and cultural activities

We host a range of activities to spark joy and expand our young people’s knowledge. Whether it is a museum visit or a fitness club, CB Mentoring finds opportunities for young people to learn something new and develop skills in a safe, nurturing environment.
